Hi. I’m Luna. But you can call me Luna Lovebug. That’s what my foster family calls me. I am sweet, caring, healthy, young (I’m only 1 -2 years old) girl, and I am now looking for my forever home. I was found as a stray by a really nice family who took me in, took me to the vet, and who tried to see if anyone was looking for me. Unfortunately no one was, so they called Houston Boxer Rescue to help me find a home and now here I am talking to you!

Right now I am living with my foster parents, foster (human) brother and sister, and two foster fur siblings. I LOVE all the humans in my house, especially the kids. We have a lot of fun playing together. If we aren’t playing than I am asking for a pet, or trying to crawl in their lap. I just want to give them all of the love I can. And you know what? I even enjoy meeting strangers too, but who doesn't?! Humans are so much fun!

What's even better though, are my foster fur siblings. We have so much fun together. We love to run around the backyard playing chase, we play tug of war with toys, and when we are tired we lie down and snuggle in a big ole dog pile. We really have become the best of friends!

You know what else is really cool? Since being in my foster home I have been learning a lot! I know not to go potty in the house, and I know how to sleep all by myself in my crate at night. Right now I am working on how to sit when I am asked and how to walk on a leash. My foster mom says I’m very smart and that I learn easily. I am so glad that they are helping me to learn my manners. After all, I am just a one year old puppy in an adult body right now!

There’s one more thing I want to tell you. Did you know that the name Luna means “moon”? It comes from the Latin word “lucere”, which means to shine. My foster mom says it’s the perfect name for me because I have so much love to give and I can’t help but let it shine through. Who knows? Maybe I was meant to shine some of my love on you. I would be “over the moon” if you would fill out an adoption application!
