Hello. I’m Smalls! As in Smalls from the movie “The Sandlot”. Except when people tell me, Your killin’ me Smalls,” they mean I’m killing them with my extreme cuteness.  I’m only 1-2 years old and very pleased to meet you. 

Like the character in the movie though, I’m a bit shy. It’s probably because I didn’t get to spend a lot of time socializing before I became a part of the HBR family. Now that I am though, I’ve learned that I love being part of a family! I love being with all sorts of humans. Especially the tiny humans. I just want to be with you all. 

I also love to be around dogs and I’m working on how to play with dog toys. Basically my foster mom says, “I’m learning how to be a dog because I was never given the opportunity to learn in the past.” That means that I had to learn how to sleep in a kennel at night (I’ve got that down) and how to only go potty outside (I’ve almost completely learned that). Since I’m smart though, I should have this “dog thing” down in no time at all! 

Now there is one other thing I need to tell you. And I’m a bit nervous about it, because I don’t want you to think differently of me. But I know I need to tell you, so here goes... I have heart worms and a heart murmur. There. I said it.  Now you know. And now I can tell you that I’m getting treatment and I will have those nasty little pests gone in no time. And as far as the heart murmur goes it’s manageable and I can live with it! 

The only thing left for me to tell you is that I’m really excited to meet you and I really hope you want to meet me too. Please fill out that adoption application so we can meet soon! 

Transport Fee:

Our basic transport fee is $300 for boxers traveling outside of Texas to their new homes up North. This fee may vary occasionally. Note: Transport is not available within Texas or Louisiana.
